Friends of PCV

PCV players are proud to be active in the broader LGBTQ+ community in Ottawa. Throughout the year, we do what we can to support these fantastic events and initiatives:

A Taste for Life – Participating restaurants open their doors on a special day every April and donate 25% of their evening sales to AIDS Service Organizations in their community. Support the men, women and children in your community by going out to dinner.

Capital Rainbow Refuge and Rainbow New Beginnings are community groups based in Ottawa dedicated to sponsoring and supporting LGBTQ refugees.

Swirl and Twirl is an evening fundraising event featuring wine, beer and food tastings, entertainment, and a silent auction in support of Ottawa-Gatineau queer community not-for-profit organizations.

Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa (YSB) – Along with Indigenous people, veterans and newcomers, LGBTQ youth are significantly over-represented in Ottawa’s homeless population. Every holiday season PCV raises funds at its holiday party to support youth in the YSB’s Long-term Housing Program.

AIDS Committee of Ottawa (ACO) – ACO provides support, prevention, education and outreach services from an integrated, anti-racism, anti-oppression social justice framework that promotes the holistic well-being of those living with, affected by, impacted by and at risk of HIV/AIDS in Ottawa.

Bruce House – Hope, housing, and support for people living with HIV in Ottawa.

Canadian Cancer Society – Screening in LGBTQ Communities

Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity – Sport Inclusion Program

MAX Ottawa – MAX is a community-based organization that focuses on maximising the health and wellness of gay, bisexual, Two-spirit, queer, and other guys who are into guys, both cis and trans in the Ottawa region.
